With a diverse background in social services, business, education, government, immigration law, leadership, and more, Sara is uniquely qualified to advocate for the needs of both new and current families.
By leveraging her extensive experience and passion for community service, Sara aims to make a positive impact on Greene County and ensure that all residents feel welcomed, supported, and empowered.

The Multicultural Family Resource Center (MFRC) is a non-profit organization under the umbrella of Greene County Development Corporation that seeks to set newcomers up for success in Greene County. We provide a variety of services to connect individuals in need with essential services, and collaborate with local businesses to welcome a more diverse population.

• Promote Greene County job fairs
• Empower immigrant community through leadership and civic engagement opportunities.
• Connect community members through the arts, cultural events, activities, and sports.
• Connect families with lawyers and non-profit organizations to work through the immigration process.
• Provide educational presentations and trainings to organizations and businesses.
• Provide interpreter and translation services for Spanish speaking families as well as organizations, businesses, health care institutions, and schools.
• Assist school staff with enrollment and promote parent involvement in the schools
• Help educators advocate for additional resources and address barriers to education
• Coordinate with organizations to get newcomers involved with Greene County community events.
• Partner with organizations and businesses to develop readiness plans for an increasingly more diverse population
